October 21, 2000 (second) ~ End of Hell Week... er... Vacation

So it's over. I am no longer a garbage woman. I wish I had gotten more done this week. I had wanted so badly to get ahead on my classes, but, instead, I am behind as always. Ah well.

This fall is more beautiful than last year's. There are so many bright colors! I need to take some pictures to post in here. I've been meaning to update the picture section of my site anyway.

Yesterday Morgan and I had a wonderful night. We went out for a delicious vegan dinner at Laughing Seed. I had a wonderful mushroom/avacado/artichoke heart/tomato/soy cheese pizza, and Morgan had some amazing fajitas. Eating at Laughing Seed you would think that vegan food is a special delicacy reserved for the gods. We both stuffed ourselves. For dessert I had a rich chocolate cake with a coconut cream icing, and Morgan had a pie that tasted exactly like dark silk chocolate mousse. I can't even describe it. It was the most delicious thing I have had in ages. How the heck do they pull those things off and still make them vegan? That's what I want to know. If you are ever in the area, make sure to eat there. It is so delicious!

I forgot to mention. Morgan is vegan now. He has been for two weeks. It was quite a big deal for him to give up cheese, but I think, for the most part, that he is happy he has.

All through the meal we had great conversation, and he kept stroking my hand. Eyes dancing, laughter, long gazes, and a walk under the stars afterwards... it was a good night.
