October 4, 2001 ~ Watch Out for Flyin' Nuts!

Stapled to an oak tree here at the college:

The text reads:

N.E.P.A.

"Our mission is to protect our fellow Wilsonites from fallen nut related injuries."

WATCH
FOR
FLYIN'
NUTS

How to protect yourself, and fellow community members:
1) Always carry a book with you while walking under a nut tree.
2) Always walk quickly, and never stop to talk while under a nut tree.
3) If you see a fellow community member entering a vicinity in which a rustling squirrel resides, stop them IMMEDIATELY!

Footnotes:

weather: Very warm. Almost hot this afternoon. Hazy.

bookmarked: Not yet.

writing focus: Not yet.

observation: Yep. There sure are lots o' nuts falling around here.

random: We should have known not to buy those Ghirardelli chocolate chips when we were not positive that we would be making a cake last weekend. And furthermore, we especially knew better than to open the bag before we made the cake... Needless to say, the bag of chocolate chips is very empty now.

mood: Rather jovially pretending that I do not have homework.

I love feedback!
