June 3, 2003 ~ A Day in My Life, Illustrated, Part IV
(continued from Part I, Part II, and Part III. Mouse-over images for commentary.)
6:15 p.m. After an uneventful drive, I'm home:
Noah the neighborhood was already rolling around and begging in greeting:
And Morgan greeted me at the door:
7:00 p.m. After a little talking and winding down, we headed out to walk to the Co-op for dinner groceries:
We got back home, and I changed out of my muddy boots and chords into my favorite velvet skirt, the one that I converted from an ugly old dress I found at the Goodwill. Also pulled my hair back. Morgan and I headed out to the backyard for a bit:
After we got back inside, it started pouring down rain again:
I was hungry and wanted to make dinner, but obviously Morgan had other plans:
If you listen very closely to that picture, you can hear me in the background, "Come on, let's make dinner. Hey, Morgan, I'm hungry; let's start dinner. Honey? Can we start dinner?" heh.
8:15 p.m. Finally, Morgan agreed to get started on dinner. I peeled garlic then soaked the cloves in olive oil, while he cooked balsamic glazed onions:
Eventually, dinner was done! Table set, we have spaghetti with sautéed green chard and balsamic glazed onion with tomato, garlic oil, and fresh basil on the side:
Some close-ups:
Morgan after dinner:
9:30 p.m. After some clean-up, I settled down to read on the laptop:
10:15 p.m. Phone call to a friend. Gotta love free long distance in the evenings:
10:35 p.m. Some more reading.
11:00 p.m. Shower. Other bedtime stuff.
12:00 a.m. or so, head for bed:
...retreat to Part III...
