January 11, 2005 ~ Early Spring
Tuesday.
It has been the strangest winter. When we moved into the house, in mid-December, I saw a periwinkle bloom out the kitchen window, and the forsythia out front had several yellow blooms. Even though there was a snowstorm that weekend, the overall weather had been quite mild for weeks.
Those blooms died with the snow, but the snow was followed by warm, sunny weather. These pictures were taken last week. Yes, early January, and snowdrops were coming up, and the forsythia was having another try? I see bulb greens poking up everywhere. It is far too early for spring...
