November 26, 2006 ~ An Impressive Start
Sunday.
It was so, so good to see family and friends over the holiday weekend. Lisa drove back to Pennsylvania today. While she was here, we also got to see Julianna for brunch and had Leigh over for dinner (phat thai!). And tonight Sloan came over to grill with us. The weekend was full of good food, good conversations, laughter, and a lot of love.
I got an extremely mild version of Morgan's cold over the holiday that was gone before it ever even started thanks to some elderberry juice and the Devil's Smoothie. And Grove had a slightly runny nose and coughed a little more than normal in the mornings. Up until this, he had yet to get sick at all, and this could hardly be called a cold. He's such a healthy baby. Talk about things to be thankful for!
And the really, really good news. Morgan won NaNoWriMo! He broke 50,000 words on his novel last night!

Despite his hectic schedule, despite getting sick, despite all of the holidays and visitors we had planned this month, he still managed it. He's still got at least three fourths of the actual novel still to go, but this is an impressive start, and now the momentum is there. I am so proud of him for sticking to this.
I would answer some reader questions at the end of this, but I'm pretty tired. I'll get to those questions soon! For now, goodnight.
