December 4, 2006 ~ High Fiber Diet
Monday.
I got off the phone and realized that Grove had found a roll of tissue paper, and in the last five minutes had ripped it into tiny pieces and scattered them all over the living room. (His newfound mobility has had dire effects on the cleanliness of our house.)
I didn't have time to clean it up just then, it was lunch time and then errand time and then nap time, and by the time he woke from his nap I had forgotten about the tissue paper. He nursed and then wandered off, while I was reading.
When he started screeching with joy, I went to check on him. He was standing by the bed, which Rose was laying on, and he was feeding little bits of tissue paper to Rose. Every time her pink tongue came out to snatch a piece from between his fingers, he'd squeal and giggle, then pick up another and hopefully hold it out to her.
As soon as she saw me, Rose flattened her ears and wagged her tail. "I wouldn't have eaten your paper, Lady, if he hadn't told me to!"
Great. The baby has figured out how to feed the dogs random household products. My job just got much harder.
