January 9, 2007 ~ Returning to Snow

Tuesday.

snowy day

Yes, I know, I know. Look who fell off her little "gonna update every other day again" wagon. I had a good reason, though.

I haven't been home for the last month. I haven't even been in the state all month. We just got back from Oregon, where Grove and I spent the month, and Morgan spent half of that. I had meant to send a notify out before hand, but that was one of many things on my "to do" list that never got crossed off.

My mother flew us out for the holidays. It was a great trip. I'm so glad that all of my friends and relatives back in Oregon got to meet Grove. We spent a little time at the coast, lots of time in downtown Portland, but mostly it was just refreshing to see so many people I love.

I'm very glad to be back home though, of course, and especially glad to see Monty and Rose. (The anxiety over leaving them here could take up an entire entry on its own).

Give me a few days to settle in, and I hope to be back to regular updates soon. I've just uploaded an entry from the end of December, in case you missed it. I'm also way behind in e-mail, too, and probably won't be able to catch up on it. I have some reader questions left over, and I still intend to answer them, too.

In the mean time, the weather rewarded our return with sticking snow! It's been cheering me so much to watch it come down today. It was Grove's first time experiencing snow on the ground, so I'll leave you with some pictures.
