April 1, 2007 ~ Wild Turkey

Sunday.

The sewer backed up into the house again this week. I don't want to talk about it.

I had to take Grove to the doctor. We both caught a cold or flu like virus from Morgan; it treated me very lightly, but it hit Grove really hard and stuck with him. He's going to be okay, but he's still feeling pretty awful. I don't really want to talk about that, either, though.

What I wanted to share with you was this:

Yesterday, the dogs started going nuts, pacing and whining through the house, looking out all the windows, coming to me with their "the world is coming to an END!" postures. I looked out the side door and there was a wild turkey poking around next to the dog pen, making clicking noises in its throat.

The dogs were like, "What the hell is that big clicking thing, and what is it doing in OUR yard?" and "Please please PLEASE open the door and let us out!"

Instead I took pictures. She was beautiful.
