April 6, 2007 ~ Pity the Dogwoods

Last week, temperatures climbed to the mid-eighties--obscenely hot for March. As a result, everything here is in a frenzy of growing and blooming and leafing out. A hard freeze is expected this weekend, though. I pity the dogwoods their blooms. I hope the gorgeous spring we are having isn't too damaged by the coming chill.
